CHICKEN BIRYANI (BASMATI RICE)




Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice             - 2 cup(Green Pack)
  • Onion                         - 3 big size
  • Tomato                       - 4 Medium size
  • Ginger Garlic paste  -  3 tbsp
  • Green chilli                - 4
  • Curd                            - 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon                  - 2
  • Cloves                         - 5
  • Bay leaves                  - 3
  • Cardamom                 - 4
  • Chilli powder            - 2.5 tbsp (you can adjust to your taste)
  • Turmeric powder     - 1/4 tbsp
  • Hand of coriander and mint leaves
  • Ghee                           - 3 tbsp
  • Oil.                              - 100ml
  • Salt as required.
  • Water.                         - 3 cup.
Method:
  • Cut onion,tomato,green chilli as shown below.



  • Soak basmati rice for 20 min.

  • Heat the cooker add ghee,oil, now add    sliced onion and after it turn to golden brown add spices.   (Cinnamon,clove,cardamom, bay leaves)

  • Now add chilli powder and turmeric powder and saute until it's raw smell goes.
  • Now add ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves , mint leaves and stir until it's raw smell goes.

  • Now add curd and wait until oil separate.
  • Now add  salt,tomato and chicken and cook it for 10 min. It come like this.

  • Now add rice and water and put 1 whistle in medium flame.
  • Open after 15 minutes.
