MUTTAIKOSE PORIYAL | CABBAGE PORIYAL | CABBAGE RECIPE :

Cabbage is a leafy vegetable. Kids like recipe prepared with cabbage. There are many recipe using this cabbage. Cabbage mixed with moong dal, coconut will give good flavour to your tongue.

MUTTAIKOSE PORIYAL | CABBAGE PORIYAL | CABBAGE RECIPE :

Ingredients:
  • Cabbage            - 500 gm 
  • Moong dal         - 2 tbsp
  • Small onion      - 4
  • Green chilli      - 2
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup (adjustable)
  • Mustard, urad dal - 1/4 TSP
  • Cumin                - 1/4 TSP
  • Oil                       - 3 tsp

Method:

  • First cut the cabbage finely.soak moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • Now add water in a pan and when it start to boil add cabbage, moong dal, salt.cook until cabbage gets soften.
  • Now drain water and keep it aside 
  • Heat pan , add oil, mustard, urad dal, cumin, green chilli, finely chopped onion, curry leaves and finally cooked cabbage and salt .
  • Stir it until water dries completely and turn off the flame.
  • Now add grated coconut and stir gently in all side in that heat itself.
  • Now enjoy cabbage poriyal with rasam sadam, puli kuzhambu, or simply with white rice added with ghee.
