POONDU CHUTNEY RECIPE |GARLIC CHUTNEY RECIPE |SIDE DISH FOR IDLY, DOSA RECIPE




Poondu chutney / garlic chutney is one of the best side dish for idly, dosa. It is hot and spicy chutney.It is the easiest chutney recipe which give good taste with few ingredients. It's also my one of the favourite chutney recipe. I prepare it with fresh garlic, red chilli, tomato, curry leaves. 

Ingredients:

  • Garlic                -  1/4 cup
  • Tomato             - 1 big size
  • Red chillies      - 6 to 8 (adjustable)
  • Sesame oil        - 4 tbsp
  • Mustard and urad dal - 1/4 tsp
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Heat pan add 2 tbsp sesame oil, add skinless garlic and fry for 5 sec. Add red chilli, curry leaves, tomato and salt and stir until garlic raw smell goes.


  • Now make it cool and grind it into fine paste.
  • Heat pan add oil, mustard seed, urad dal and few curry leaves and put in the chutney.

  • Enjoy it with idly, dosa
