MUTTON KUZHAMBU | LAMB GRAVY |  MUTTON RECIPE FRESHLY GROUND MASALA: 

I like to have dish that has made with mutton. Whatever the dish , I like to have it. Today I have tried mutton kuzhambu  in home, which we usually do it in festival time for relatives and surroundings. 

Usually at that time we cook until 10 kg mutton for this gravy itself, but now I have done this with only 1/2 kg.

Dry roast all ingredients freshly with onion, tomato , coconut and cooked along with meat will give a awesome taste. If you want to taste it , try it and give your comments.  

Be sure that you have bought young ones or not. If you bought young one's allow it for only 2 whistle . If not allow for 5 whistle. 
I think this as the easiest method and quick method for doing mutton within awesome taste.

My other recipes with mutton 

Ingredients:

  • Mutton                     - 1/2 kg
  • Shallot                        - 1  cup
  • Tomato                     - 2 ( big size )
  • Ginger Garlic.         - each 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilli                - 6 ( adjust to your taste) 
  • Coriander seed  - 2 tbsp
  • Pepper corn         - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder  - 1/4 tbsp
  • Coconut                    - 1/2cup
  • Cumin seed             - 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seed             -  1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon                - 1
  • Cardamom               - 2
  • Cloves                        - 2
  • Star anise                 - 1
  • Oil                              - 5 tbsp
  •  Few Fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt and water as required

Method:

  • Clean mutton by washing it two times with turmeric powder. Allow it for 3 whistle . 
  • Dry roast red chilli, coriander seed, cumin, fennel seed, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, star anise in medium flame and keep aside.

  • Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add shallot, tomato , ginger, garlic and stir it. After onion turns glassy, add coconut and stir it. Now cool it and grind into a fine paste along with dry roast spices.

  • Again in a pan add oil, add fennel seed, after it splitter add mutton along with that water and  grounded masala.

  • Let it cook until it get required consistent.

  • Now turn off and change to serving bowl and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
